Stanford wallops Iowa, 45-16
Christian McCafferty shattered a Rose Bowl record for all-purpose yards as Stanford walloped Iowa 45-16 today in Pasadena, California. McCafferty rushed, ran back punts and kickoffs and hauled in 18 passes for a grand total of 368 yards.
McCafferty also became the first player in Rose Bowl history to have more than 100 rushing and receiving yards.
The Rose Bowl win by Stanford improves the Pac-12 Conference record in postseason bowl games to 6-2. Two more Pac-12 teams take the field Saturday with Oregon taking on TCU at the Alamo Bowl, while Arizona State takes on West Virginia at the Cactus Bowl.
