Broncos, Panthers head for Super Bowl 50

Arizona committed seven turnovers in Charlotte tonight and quarterback Cam Newton took care of things offensively for the Panthers as Carolina won the NFC title with a 49-15 lopsided win over the Cardinals, while back in Denver the Broncos held on to win the AFC title with a 20-18 victory over the New England Patriots.

That sets the stage for Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara, California on Feb. 7.  Carolina and Denver for all the marbles. Peyton Manning against Mr. Newton. The top two seeds in the NFL will lock horns.

After watching the Panthers dismantle the Cardinals, it would be hard to bet against Carolina. My goodness, the Panthers' defense intercepted quarterback Carson Palmer four times tonight. As for Newton, let's look at his final numbers. He went 19 of 28 for 335 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for 47 yards on 10 carries and two touchdowns.

Peyton Manning and the Broncos will have their hands full on Super Bowl Sunday.
