60-and-over baseball
Jesse Ochoa, 64, went 3 for 3 and drove in four runs as Team Blue edged Team White 6-5 today at Udall Park in the 2016 season opener for the 60-and-over Tucson Old Timers (TOTS) baseball club.
The TOTS' seasons are long -- 12 months to be exact, just like the verse from the James Taylor song, "winter, spring, summer or fall."
Today, the rain came, but not before the TOTS completed their seven-inning game. Lefty Dennis Crowley picked up the win for Team Blue. Right-hander Dan Lundwall was saddled with the loss for Team White.
