The 2015 Major League Baseball season gets underway on the 6th of April.

Another season of baseball.

On opening day, April 16, 1940, Bob Feller of the Cleveland Indians tossed a no-hitter in a 1-0 win over the Chicago White Sox. Feller struck out eight batters and walked five. The only run was scored in the top of the fourth inning on a single by Jeff Heath and a run-scoring triple by Rollie Hemsley.

The game was played in Comiskey Park in front of 14,000 roaring fans.
