Arizona wins 38th straight at McKale

Arizona Wildcats Basketball

The fifth-ranked Arizona Wildcats (28-3 overall, 16-2 Pac-12) continue to be in the conversation for a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament with a 91-69 win over the Stanford Cardinal today at McKale.

The Wildcats kept the longest home winning streak in college basketball alive as they win for the  38th consecutive time at McKale and once again display a balanced scoring attack as five players score in double figures.

The Arizona bench scored 41 points, while the starters pumped in 50.

In his last game at McKale, senior point guard T.J. McConnell dished out 11 assists and scored 10 points -- a double-double to end his career at McKale as a Wildcat. Brandon Ashley finished with 15 points and nine rebounds, while Rondae Hollis-Jefferson chipped in 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

Kaleb Tarczewski and Gabe York came off the bench to score 13 points apiece. York was used to being the sixth-man, but Tarczewski spent the first two minutes of the game on the bench as senior Matt Korcheck received a rare start.

Stanley Johnson finished with nine points and Elliott Pitts scored eight points -- including two from three-point land.

Arizona shot 53.7 percent from the field (29 of 54), while hitting 8 of 17 from beyond the arc.

Congrats, Wildcats! Hats off to the three seniors -- McConnell, Korcheck and Drew Mellon.
