Lloyd Barzell and Tim Tolson were the top two hitters among the Tucson Old Timers for the month of February. Barzell went 18 for 33 in 10 games for a .575 batting average, while Tolson went 16 for 26 for a .610 batting average. Barzell led in runs scored with 16 and Tolson was once again the RBI leader with 16.
Other top hitters included Brian Reilly (16 for 33, a .485 average), Pete Peters (16 for 33, a .485 average), Dennis Crowley (15 for 33, a .445 average) and Dick Ducklow (14 for 26, a .538 average).
