Wildcats take down the Ducks

The Arizona Wildcats (26-9, 9-6) take 2 of 3 from the Oregon Ducks at Hi Corbett Field -- including a 18-4 win in Game 3 today. The Wildcats banged out 23 hits and paid the Ducks back for beating them in Game 1 Thursday night -- the Wildcats first loss on their home field this season.

Today, Alfonso Rivas led the hit parade, going 5 for 5, while JJ Matijevic continued his hot streak with four more hits to raise his batting average to .418, the top average in the Pac-12 Conference. Rivas is just behind Matijevic at .415.

The Wildcats, after 35 games, own a .331 team batting average.

Next up: a three-game series at Hi Corbett against Utah on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Arizona is 19-1 at home.
