Wildcats take a break from Pac-12 play on Tuesday
Arizona Wildcats Baseball
The Arizona Wildcats will take a break from Pac-12 play on Tuesday night at Hi Corbett Field.
They need the break.
Arizona (26-12, 9-9) are coming off the short end of a sweep -- three wins by the visiting Utah Utes on Thursday, Friday and last night in the finale by a 4-2 score.
The Wildcats had lost only one game at home going into the series with Utah -- and if my math is correct (when you get older you'll understand the if) that's four losses inside the friendly confines of Hi Corbett.
Time to regroup. The Wildcats take on visiting New Mexico State on Tuesday, After that, it's off to Stanford and back to the grind of the Pac-12.
JJ Matijevic continues to lead the Wildcats in hitting with a .401 average, including 63 hits and 43 RBI.
