Arizona Wildcats Basketball

The fourth-ranked Arizona Wildcats  (26-3, 15-1) can now focus on the No. 5 UCLA Bruins.

The Wildcats, behind a season-high 25 points from Allonzo Trier,  beat USC 90-77 at McKale Center tonight to maintain their one game lead in the Pac-12 Conference.

The Trojans led early, but the Wildcats clawed their way back and held a 44-39 lead at the half. In the second half Trier scored 14 of his 25 points and five Wildcats finished in double figures. Rawle Alkins netted 12 points, Lauri Markkanen chipped in 11, while Dusan Ristic and Parker Jackson-Cartwright added 10 points apiece.

Arizona closed the first half on a 12-2 run and led by 16 points at one point in the second half. The Wildcats made 11 of 20 3-pointers -- four of them long-range shots by Trier.

The Trojans are now in the Wildcats' rear view mirror. Up ahead it's No. 5 UCLA on Saturday night at McKale. The entire college basketball world will be watching.

It's time for the Wildcats to shine.
