Pac 12 teams go 2-5 in first round of NCAA tourney

NCAA College Basketball Tournament

It wasn't exactly what the Pac-12 had hoped for.

And it certainly wasn't what the fans of Arizona wanted.

Two wins and five losses. Colorado falls to UConn, Arizona lays an egg against Wichita State, USC loses in a buzzer-beater to Providence, Oregon State caves in to VCU and California, with the loss of its top scorer, bows to Hawaii. Wow!

Utah stands proud with a win over Fresno State (80-69) and top-seeded Oregon, as expected, moves on to the round of 32 with a lopsided 91-52 win over Holy Cross.

NCAA Update: Utah gets trounced in the second round, falling to Gonzaga, 82-59. Six losses in the books for the Pac-12. Go figure!
