Arizona Wildcats Baseball
Arizona (23-10, 10-5) tuned up for its trip to Salt Lake City and a three-game series with the Utah Utes with a 4-2 win over non-conference foe New Mexico State last night at Hi Corbett Field.
Garen Caulfield broke a 2-2 tie with a two-run single in the bottom of the eighth inning and Trevor Long (2-0) struck out four batters in two innings of work to preserve the Wildcats' 23rd win of the season.
The Wildcats first game with Utah is on Thursday. All three games scheduled for 10 AM.
