Arizona Wildcats Baseball
Arizona's first-year coach Chip Hale sent six relievers to the mound on Monday in Omaha en route to a 6-0 shutout over Creighton. It worked so well, Hale did the same tonight in a 3-1 win over the Bluejays (21-10) as the Wildcats improved its overall record to 26-12.
On Monday, the Wildcat relievers combined for 12 strike outs and tonight another 10 Bluejays struck out as Arizona's pitching staff allowed one run in 18 innings. Creighton lost at home for the first time this season. Anthony Susac (2-1) pitched three innings and picked up the win on Monday, while George Arias Jr. hurled two innings tonight to improve to 2-1.
Way to go, Wildcats!
