Wildcats romp in a Cinco de Mayo slugfest

Arizona Wildcats Baseball

Cinco de Mayo must agree with the Arizona Wildcats.

The Wildcat baseball team had a field day against the Oregon Ducks today at Hi Corbett with a 28-7 win to sweep the three-game Pac-12 Conference series and improve to 22-23 overall and 10-14 in conference play.

Arizona collects 26 hits. No home runs were hit. Nick Quintana led the way with a single, two doubles and five RBI, tying a single-game personal best for runs-batted-in, while Justin Wylie hit safely four times with three doubles and three RBI.

Nine players drove in runs for Arizona -- including three hits and four-RBI from Austin Wells, while freshman Branden Boissiere matched Wells with another three hits and four runs-batted-in.

Way to go, Wildcats!
