Wildcats go out with a bang at Arizona Stadium

The Wildcats finished their football season at Arizona Stadium tonight with a bang, or better yet an explosion!

Arizona captures the Territorial Cup with a 56-35 victory over rival Arizona State as the Wildcats set a school record with 511 yards rushing in the process. Samajie Grant ran for 176 yards and three touchdowns to lead Arizona over a stunned Sun Devil team.

Brandon Dawkins started things off on the third play of the game as he rambled 71 yards for a touchdown. The Arizona quarterback finished the night with 183 yards rushing and two scores. Zach Green put in his two cents worth with 126 yards rushing and two scores.

Arizona State was knocked out of contention for a postseason bowl game with the loss. The Sun Devils finish the season with an overall record of 5-7 and 2-7 in the Pac-12 Conference.

Arizona finishes the season with a 3-9 overall record and a 1-8 record in Pac-12 play.
