Arizona Diamondbacks
The end of the regular season is near and the Arizona Diamondbacks, sporting a 67-73 record, are out of the money so to speak, barring something in the neighborhood of 22 straight wins. Not likely, it just hasn't been a good season for the D'backs.
On the other hand, the LA Dodgers (80-59) are the best in the NL West and own a 13 1/2 game lead over the lowly Diamondbacks. Arizona opens a three-game series on Friday at Chase Field with the Dodgers.
