And tbe Oscar goes to the Arizona Wildcats

And the Oscar goes to the Arizona Wildcats.

Oops! A confusing night on the tube.

With the Academy Awards running parallel to the Arizona-Stanford basketball game at McKale tonight, it turns out to be our Wildcats who take home the big prize as they roll past the Cardinal 79-66 to capture the Pac-12 Conference title and the top seed for the upcoming conference tournament to be held in Las Vegas March 12-15.

Aaron Gordon led the way tonight with 19 points and 15 rebounds as the Wildcats improve their overall record to 27-2 and their conference slate to 14-2. Just two games remain on the regular schedule for Arizona with games at Oregon and Oregon State  next week.

If Arizona can continue its winning ways, there's a good chance the Wildcats could end up with a No.1 seed for the NCAA Tournament.

The Wildcats are certainly clicking on all cylinders with blowout wins over Colorado, California and now, Stanford. Arizona coach Sean Miller said after the game, "the season is far from being over. Let's hope this is the beginning of a long, long run."

March Madness is here!
