Arizona Wildcats Baseball
Arizona (32-14) take the four-game series with the Nevada Wolfpack (22-20) winning 3 of the 4 games, including a 8-2 win today at Hi Corbett Field in the finale.The first three games were tight affairs with Arizona winning the first two games, 6-5, 7-6, and were shutout in Game 3 on Saturday by a score of 2-0 on a three-hit, complete game shutout by Wolfpack starter Cam Walty.
Today, the Wildcats' offense came alive.
Chase Davis (photo left) led the way with his 13th home run of the year, a two-run shot in the sixth inning. Davis had four hits on the day to up his season batting average to .295.
Anthony Susac started and went five innings for Arizona to improve his record to 4-1.
Arizona will host Grand Canyon (30-15) on Tuesday at Hi Corbett with a single game with the Antelopes.
