Arizona softball alive and well

Arizona Softball

Arizona softball is heading back to Oklahoma City and the Women's College World Series for the 25th time in school history.

The Wildcats (38-20) struggled at times during the 2022 regular season, but not in the postseason as they rolled over Illinois and Missouri at Columbia, Missouri last week and then traveled to Starkville, Mississippi this week and knocked off Mississippi State 3-2 in the opening round and won 7-1 today to close out the best-of-three at the Super Regional, two games to none, to punch their ticket to Oklahoma City.

This is after finishing in a tie for last place in the Pac-12 Conference!

Talk about peaking at the right time!

Two big reasons for the Wildcats' postseason success -- pitchers Hanah Bowen and Devyn Netz (#34, shown in photo above). Bowen is 13-10, and Netz, who pitched a complete-game for the win over Mississippi State today, is 15-7.

Way to go, Wildcats!
