Wildcats lose opener in the Bahamas
Arizona Wildcats Basketball
Deandre Ayton and Allonzo Trier scored 27 points apiece, but it wasn't enough as North Carolina State beat the 2nd-ranked Arizona Wildcats 90-84 in Nassau tonight.
Arizona (3-1) was cold from beyond the arc, hitting only two of 17 attempts.
And that turned out to be the difference as North Carolina State (5-0) hit eight of 20 from long range. Arizona shot 46.8 percent (29 of 62) from the field, while NC State finished at 49.1 percent (27 of 55).
Ayton picked up his fourth double-double of the season with 14 rebounds.
