Daliege goes 4 for 4 in the opening round of the 70-and-over MSBL World Series

Bob Daliege went 4 for 4 for the 70-and-over San Antonio Texans at the MSBL World Series today in Mesa at Riverview Park, the spring training home of the Chicago Cubs.
The Texans lose 9-3 to Tri Valley (San Francisco) and take on Canada (Red Deer) tomorrow in the second round at Maryvale (west Phoenix). Game time: 9 :30 a.m.
Eddie Eckert went 1 for 3 and Pigpen Price went 0 for 3 today.
Daliege, Eckert and Price are members of the Tucson Old Timers (TOTS). Hard-hitting lefty Ron Petersen, the fourth player representing the TOTS, didn't make the trip due to a leg injury.
