Pirates outlast Diamondbacks in 13 innings

The Arizona Diamondbacks (10-10) win one of three with the Pittsburgh Pirates at Chase Field over the weekend. The D'backs lost the finale today in 13 innings 12-10. Arizona used 23 players and eight pitchers in the game and was forced to send pitcher Shelby Miller to the left field spot to close out the contest.

Paul Godschmidt hit two home runs, Welington Castillo hit one and Yasmany Tomas went yard as well, but this one got away from the Diamondbacks as Pittsburgh scores two in the 12th inning and two in the 13th to pick up the win.


St. Louis comes to town on Monday.
