Wildcats win 2 of 3 over Kent State
Arizona Wildcats Baseball
The University of Arizona 2014 baseball season is off and running.
The Wildcats capture their first three-game series, winning 2 of 3 over Kent State at Hi Corbett Field this weekend. Arizona won the season opener 13-1, dropped the middle game 14-5 and won the rubber game, 7-1. It was all good except for Saturday's encounter which saw the Wildcats pitching staff give up 11 runs in the first inning. Pretty tough to recover from that one.
Cody Ramer, Trent Gilbert and Zach Gibbons combined for 18 of Arizona's 37 hits in the series.
