Inside-the-park homers highlight TOTS' game

TOTS Senior Baseball Network (TSBN)

60-and-over-baseball

Ted Davis and Bob Daliege hit inside-the-park home runs in the bottom of the fourth inning today at the spacious Jesse Owens Park as Team Blue went on to beat Team White 9-3 in a Tucson Old Timers (TOTS) baseball game.

Daliege pitched all seven inning for Team Blue, allowing just three runs -- all coming in the top of the fourth inning, while Dennis Crowley went the distance for Team White and absorbed the loss.

The TOTS return home to the friendly confines of Udall Park next week where the power alley to left center and right center aren't quite as long as the alleys at Jesse Owens. The TOTS' home field has been under repair for a couple of weeks, but the work is done and the old timers are ready to return to Udall, a field which very seldom gives up inside-the-park homers.
