The Tigers are 48-28 in the American League Central, while the amazing Cubs sport a 45-29 record in the National League Central.
Close to home, our Arizona Diamondbacks keep fighting to stay above the .500 mark, and are currently even-steven at 37-37.
Arizona currently wallows in fourth place in the NL West, eight games back of the Los Angeles Dodgers (46-30). The poor Colorado Rockies are in the cellar at 17-58.
Eugenio Suarez hit his 22nd home run last night in the Diamondbacks' 9-5 win at Toronto. Paven Smith also homered. Righthander Ryne Nelson picked up the win to improve to 4-2 on the season.
Arizona opens a three-game series at Colorado tonight.
