Arizona Wildcats Baseball
With all that's going on in this wonderful world of ours, a little "enjoyment" has popped up front and center. It's our own Arizona Wildcats who, so far, have found the postseason to their liking with a Big-12 Tournament title in Arlington, Texas, last week, followed by another title this weekend as they soar through the likes of Cal Poly (twice) and Utah Valley (once) to sweep the Eugene Regional and now await the Super Regionals next week -- their first appearance since 2021.
Arizona (42-18) broke all kinds of records with eight home runs on Saturday, three alone by Mason White in a 14-4 win over Utah Valley, and followed that up tonight with six more homers in a 14-0 victory over Cal Poly (43-19), their second in three days over the Mustangs in Eugene.
Tonight, Smith Bailey cruised through six innings for an easy win. Six more homers sailed out of the ballpark -- three by Aaron Walton (not to be outdone by White's exploits on Saturday), two homers by Maddox Mihalakis, and one from Tommy Splaine.
Way to go, Wildcats!
