Diamondbacks sweep the Dodgers

Arizona Diamondbacks

The LA Dodgers have the numbers to easily win the NL West.

This afternoon at Chase Field it looked more like the numbers game belonged to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

A sweep of the Dodgers! The first time that has happened all year. So, it's seven straight wins for the Diamondbacks as they dispose of LAD 8-1 today to sweep the three-game series and improve to 18 games over .500 at 76-58.

Home runs today for Chris Iannetta and A.J Pollack and Zack Greinke (16-6) notches his 16th win of the season.

The Dodgers drop to 91-41, the best record in baseball.

Congrats, Diamondbacks!

Arizona heads for Colorado for a three-game series and then end up in LA the following Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to lock horns with the Dodgers again.
