Cubs clinging to the best record in baseball

Major League Baseball

The Chicago Cubs are clinging to the best record in baseball.

At 62-41, the Cubs own a .602 winning percentage as we finish up July today and head into August tomorrow.

Not too far behind: The Washington Nationals at 61-43 (.587).

Over in the American League, it's the Texas Rangers (61-44) and the Cleveland Indians (59-42) battling for the top spot.

As for my Arizona Diamondbacks, my goodness entrenched in last place in the NL West with a dismal 43-61 record. The Diamondbacks' management and the coaches are all ready looking to 2017.

The big question for  baseball fans: Can the Cubs get it done? We'll see.
