Five TOTS knocked in 20 or more runs in May

Five players on the Tucson Old Timers (TOTS) knocked in 20 or more runs during the month of May with Pistol Pete Peters taking top honors with 26 RBI. Peters went 29 for 55 during the month, a .527 average.

Not far behind were Jesse Ochoa with 24 and Lloyd Barzell with 23, while Tim Tolson and Doc Thompson finished with 20 RBI apiece. Barzell ended up with the top batting average for the month, going 35 for 51 for a healthy .686 batting average, while Bob Daliege was right behind him at .674 (31 hits in 46 at bats).

Barzell was a scoring machine in May. He crossed the plate 35 times. Tolson led the club in homers with two.

Way to go, TOTS!
