Despite a 25-point effort from Brayden Burries and 14 points, 15 rebounds, and a career-high six blocks from Moe Krivas, top-ranked Arizona lost its first game of the season at #9 Kansas, 82-78, tonight to fall to 23-1, 10-1 in the Big 12 Conference.

The Wildcats battled all 40 minutes in a hostile environment of 15,000 screaming Jayhawks fans and led by 11 points early in the second half, but couldn't hit their shots down the stretch.

Ivan Karchkenkov finished in double figures with 13 points, six rebounds, and three steals.

Burries was 4 of 7 from long range, and the Wildcats sank six 3-pointers. They needed a couple more.

A well-played game by both teams. Arizona will see Kansas at home at McKale on Feb. 28.
