Arizona rolls into Championship game at Big 12 Tourney in Arlington

Arizona Wildcats Baseball

Arizona (38-18) sprayed hits all over the spacious confines of Globe Life Stadium in Arlington, Texas, en route to a 12-1 win over West Virginia (41-14) today to advance into the Big 12 championship game at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Mason White hit two home runs today to lead the Wildcats. It was White's 15th and 16th of the year and third homer this week in Arlington. Arizona had 17 hits in the win, just one day after disposing of BYU, 4-1, in the Wildcats' opening game on Thursday.

White went 4 for 4 on the day and tied a career-high with six RBI.

Raul Garayzar (2-0) started for the Wildcats and pitched six shutout innings for the win. Garayzar matched teammate Owen Kramkowski, who had pitched six innings on Thursday for the win while striking out a career-high eight batters.

Note: The Arizona Wildcats will face the winner of tonight's nightcap between Kansas and TCU.
