Arizona rolls in its season opener tonight with a 122-59 win over Morgan State.
Eight players scored in double figures, and 14 players saw action, with guard Kylan Boswell leading the way with 18 points and five assists. The Wildcats shot 55.3 percent from the field (42 of 76), dished out 26 assists, and stole the ball 16 times while committing just seven turnovers.
Arizona, currently ranked 12th in the nation by the AP College Basketball Poll, led Morgan State 61-26 at the half and tossed in another 61 points in the second half, despite clearing the bench, as the Wildcat fans got a chance to see everyone in uniform perform on the court.
Pelle Larsson chipped in 15 points, Keshad Johnson added 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while Caleb Love, Oumar Ballo, and Montiejus Krivas scored 12 points apiece. Filip Borovicanin came off the bench and chipped in 11 points and seven rebounds, while Paulius Murauskas finished the double-figure scoring with 10 points.
The Wildcats (1-0) now head for Durham, North Carolina, and a matchup on Friday against the 2nd-ranked Duke Blue Devils (1-0), who knocked off Dartmouth today 92-54.
