Tucson Old Timers (TOTS)
60-and-over baseball
Randy Livingston out dueled Ernesto Escala as Team Blue scored four runs in the top of the sixth inning for a come-from-behind 7-4 win over Team White in a 60-and-over Tucson Old Timers game this morning at Udall Park.
Both right handers were locked in a pitching duel for most of the game, but Livingston helped his own cause with a 2-RBI single in the sixth as Team Blue turned a 4-3 deficit into a hard fought win.
It was Escala's first time back on the mound since his knee surgery.
Dave Hurley, who batted fifth in the lineup for Team Blue, had a perfect day at the plate with three hits in three plate appearances, while Escala was a perfect 3 for 3 in a losing cause for Team White. Mike Steele and Ken Nebesny collected two hits apiece for Team White, while Doc Thompson knocked in two runs and scored one of the four runs.
Team White out hit Team Blue 14 to 9, but Team Blue put together key hits with a 3-run third inning to go along with their 4-run sixth.
The TOTS return to action on Monday at Udall. Game time: 8:30 a.m.
