TOTS spray 38 hits around Udall

Everyone had their hitting shoes on at Udall Park this morning.
Both teams combined for 38 hits, but it was Team Blue finishing on top 11-6 over Team White in a 60-and-over Tucson Old Timers game.
Lefty Ron Petersen went the distance for Team Blue to pick up the win. Petersen had three hits in the game and drove in three runs to help his own cause. George Staas, Roger Beebe, Steve Foster and Tim Tolson all went 3 for 4 as well, while John Mathews and Dave Byars both went 2 for 4 and drove in two runs apiece.
Reed Palmer went the distance for Team White and absorbed the loss, but continued to pound the ball with three hits in four trips to the plate, while Doc Thompson and Ron Ryan added three hits apiece for the losing team. Ryan knocked in three of Team White's six runs.
The TOTS will take the weekend off and resume action on Monday at Udall. First pitch slated for 8:30 a.m.
