Mike Dawson won both of his starts on the mound this week, including a 6-4 win today at Udall Park as he led Team White to a hard-fought win over Team Blue in 60-and-over Tucson Old Timers game.
Dawson, who picked up a 9-6 win on Wednesday. pitched another six strong innings today and bested Bob Daliege, who was making his first start on the mound in five weeks. Daliege struck out 3 and walked only one, but gave up a run in the first inning, two in the second and three in the third.
Team Blue scored two in the first inning and another two-spot in the top of the sixth. Team Blue collected 11 hits in the game, while Team White hit safely 12 times. Reed Palmer went 3 for 4, including two doubles for Team Blue, while Tim Tolson went 3 for 4 for Team White and scored twice.
Doc Thompson went 2 for 2 for Team Blue, walked twice and knocked two of their four runs.
The TOTS will take the weekend off, but will return to action on Labor Day -- the 7th of September. Game time: 8:30 a.m.
