Arizona Diamondbacks
The San Francisco Giants and the Arizona Diamondbacks are heading in different directions.
Madison Bumgarner allows one hit tonight in San Francisco -- a single by Jake Lamb, and the Giants beat the Diamondbacks 4-0 and sweep the three-game series. Bumgarner goes the distance and strikes out 14 Diamondbacks.
The Giants now have the best record in baseball at 57-33 and sit atop the NL West, while the Diamondbacks are in the cellar with a dismal 38-52 record.
